Your AP is simply a Bridge. DHCP doesn't need to be set on the AP unless you want the AP to get it's address there. DCHP will work identically to a wired workstation on your network.

The maximum frame size is inherently limited by the fact you are using Ethernet. If the frame you are transmitting consistantly exceeds the MTU by only a few bytes, you will have a lot of overhead because the extra 50 bytes needs to be encapsulated ...

Make sure your 802.1X Protocol Draft standards match. You should have everything set to "Draft 10" unless you have old cards that don't support it

I probably didn't mention that rebooting the VPN 3005 concentrator solves the problem for a short time - then it comes back
