OK, I've reached out. I'll report back what they say.Incidentally I did try setting the entire network to 2.4 GHz and that didn't get these stupid devices to be seen either. Maybe it's time to retire them. Ugh.
Thanks for these tips. Before I tried these, the suggestion to disable "Deny Local LAN" came up and that turned out to be the easy solution. But Bonjour forwarding also sounds like something I want (this is an all Mac house), and ahh I see your sugge...
