What router is recommended for VOIP? We currently have a 7206vxr NPE300 connected to a Nextone SBC. However, the 7206 cpu is running at 98% with only 17 DS1's woth of traffic. Do we need to upgrade?
What is the maximum media packets the 7206 can handle per second. We are interfacing our 7206vxr NPE-300 with a Nextone SBC (sound Board Controller) and its causing the CPU on the 7206 to run at 98%.
We were having the same issue on the 7206vxr, see my posting "Edge router for VOIP".We removed the bridge-group 1 command from our GigE interface and the CPU usage dropped by 50%.Regards,Marvin
