I agree. I swapped over my RV325 months ago too for a Billion 7800DX. That has not failed me yet...but has a cap on the VPN bandwidth of 9Mbps in real life testing. I wish I had the full 20 Mbps!

6 days later and still no updates? Not the service I would normally expect from Cisco.

This should have been fixed with the latest Firmware release. If you need to reboot it on the old firmware- restoring it from a saved image will effectively reboot it. This is an old Linksys workaround.

Did you allow RDP port in the VPC security descriptors?

Remove the RV042 and use the Netgear then? Get the Netgear to negotiate the VPN. I have no experience with the Netgear- cant help you there....
