Hi!Very good question... Let's try to wait for Cisco Engineer's answer. My opinion is it's impossible... because there is either no possibility for that in IOS right now, or nobody was ever interested in that.

Hi!Maybe i' had missed smth, but span-tree loops can occur only in LAN environment (CSMA/CD), in PtP Wan links you can use either routing protocols or back-up interface possibilities.
