Hi all, I need to understand the speed and duplex settings of the port. I am trying to hard code the speed and duplex settings of the interface which apparently seems a simple procedure. So far what i have learned is you can hard code the interface...

Hi @Leo Laohoo and @Joseph W. DohertyYou were right. With the crossover cable, there is no issue when I change the speed/duplex of the interface. Thank you for your help.

Thank you for your response Joseph.Yes, Leo is indeed correct. I didn't think about MDI-X. This is interesting to know about auto/auto setting. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Everything works fine if set to 'auto'. Duplex full, speed 100 on both sides. Many thanks.
