Hi George. Thanks for your replay. if I type 'ssid ciscoap', I do not get the prompt 'R1(config-if-ssid)#'. The prompt is still 'R1(config-if)#'. The prompt is 'R1(config-if-ssid)' if I type dot11 ssid ciscoap.

Thank George.I can tell you that on reboot the router returns this error message (among many)*Apr 18 13:46:50.967: %DOT11-4-NO_SSID_VLAN: No SSID with VLAN configured. Dot11Radio0 not started.Thank
