CBS350 will not accept the NLB IGMP multicast mac address for an arp entry either, ie., starting with 01:00:5e:7fthat leaves only unicast mode for the NLB
Thanks for that. The CBS switches have some different options than the Catalyst-6500 and definitely can't do the static arp entries for the multicast mac. I will see if it can do the arp entries for the IGMP multifcast mac. It would be nice if Cis...
thanks for the info, i forgot there is a IGMP multicast mode for the NLB which supposedly doesn't need the static mac or arp entries, also the mac address starts with 01-00-5E-7F instead of 03-BF so hopefully just using ip igmp snooping for the vlan...
