I've just installed the active x plugin for 7.8 and it appears to be backwards compatible with 7.5.2 servers for IE11 in Windows 10.  :)

Hi John, Aside from the above temporary fix I don't think there is much other option but to move to 7.7.  Which in our case is not possible as a 3rd party app is not developed for this version.  Best to stick to Windows 7 for all necessary clients. ...
