Yes HSRP was configured on both routers in front of the PIX, I have editd the configs for those routers and removed any reference to "standby", but the messages are still appearing in the log files
I dont think that is the issue as I also have a 2503 and I can connect to that with exactly the same settings, ie, if I pull the console out of the 2504 and plug into the 2503 I get chars on the screen. I'll check the terminal speed though, thanks
