2904 Issue

Hi guys, I am trying to connect to a 2904 router via console able but all I am getting are two characters that look like capital C's and then no more output on the screen. Any ideas as to what i should do next?

Hello,

if you are using HyperTerminal, make sure that Flow Control is set to OFF in your settings. Also, try different connection speeds, the router console might have been changed to something other than the default 9600.

You could also try and download the latest version of Hyperterminal, which sometimes helps in soling console port problems. Check the link below for the download location:

I dont think that is the issue as I also have a 2503 and I can connect to that with exactly the same settings, ie, if I pull the console out of the 2504 and plug into the 2503 I get chars on the screen. I'll check the terminal speed though, thanks
