Packet Tracer - Unable to remove router configuration - MacOS

When I issue the "no router rip" command, it does not remove the RIP routing configuration. Same for OSPF etc.I am using packet tracer 8.2.1 for MacOS on Sonoma 14.2.1.If I reload the router, the config is gone as expected.
