I am configuring HSRP on MSFC. I have a question that if I assign same HSRP group number on more than one subinterface what would be the disadvantages beside that it works.
I have 6509 with 23 HSRP groups. Having a same group for two HSRP group mean same MAC address for both of the HSRPs. Does, not it make any performs issue.
You'r right and I'm recomending it too. But, I need to provide the disadvantages of have same HSRP group number on different sub-interface of MSFC. If you or any one help me i'll be thankful.
