I'm having a weird issue after upgrading my MacBook Pro to Mac OS X 10.14.6 (Mojave).
Before the upgrade my any connect client was stable, no problems reaching
the vpn server. Now I cannot even get to the login prompt.
the client throws an error "Posture Assessment Failed: Hostscan Initialize error."
I checked with my network support, and they say that my client is able to
initiate a handshake with the server, so it's not getting blocked on their firewall.
it's also not an issue with my local network, I have a the desktop Mac
running the same version of the any connect client and OS and it can connect with no issues.
this issue seems to be only with my MacBook pro laptop.
I have tried everything I can think of:
the only thing i can think of that may have created this issue:
after the upgrade i needed to reinstall any connect,
and i mistaking used the anyconnect 4.8 "pre-deployment"
installer - Cisco - anyconnect-macos-4.8.00175-predeploy-k9.dmg
what i really needed to use was the 4.2 or 4.5 web-deploy package.
but i think all the uninstalls i've done since then would have
taken care of that.
here are some of the logs.
hopefully someone has seen this issue before.
