Cisco Access Server IOS

I am trying to setup an access server using a new nm-32a module on my 2611xm router.

I want to ssh into my router at work but it wont allow me. Ive test this in the lab environment and it works perfectly but not on a live network. I'm wondering whether it relates to the IOS.

I'm using advanced security IOS "c2600-advsecurityk9-mz.124-17a.bin". It accepts all the commands except the "ip ssh version" command.

Please advise and if you know, please tell me the correct IOS.

Cheers,

Tony

Support for SSH is less of an issue about what IOS version and is more of an issue about what IOS feature set. You are running 12.4(17a) and within that version some feature sets do support SSH and some do not. The feature set that you indicate (advsecurityk9) does support SSH.

If the router will not accept the ip ssh version command then I wonder whether you have generated the RSA keys on that router? You must generate the RSA keys on an IOS device before it will activate SSH.
