extranet vpn

I need to set up a vpn for an extranet business partner. I have been led to believe extranet vpns should be set-up between like devices; ex. router to router, pix to pix. I have been given charge of a vpn3080 concentrator and would like to set up a router to concentrator extranet vpn. Am I missing something? Any known gotchas on this scenario?

Any help/opinions will be appreciated.

Not true. Most any device from the Cisco side can be used to create a tunnel to a different device. Router to Concentrator. Concentrator to PIX, etc. etc. Who told you that?
