ipsec crypto map to VIP interface

Hi, when I try to apply the ipsec crypto map to the interface, it gives me an error "Cannot apply IPSEC crypto map with tag xxx to VIP interface". May I know why is that so? how to solve this problem?

If it's a VIP2 interface, crypto maps are not supported on them.

Does that means that I cann't use VIP 2 interface to do IPSEC tunnelling? what if I have a ESA card?
