PIX to PIX VPN Tunnel with backup Peer

I have a PIX - A to PIX - B VPN Tunnel setup, which works fine. I also have PIX A connecting to PIX - C (backup peer) in case PIX - B was to go down.

the problem is, sometime PIX A loses its internet connection and when it comes back up it forms a tunnel with the backup peer ( PIX - C) and not PIX B, which it should.

i have checked the trusted networks on all PIXES and they are the same.

any help will be appreciated.

Hi,

are these pix configured as ezvpn server /client, or as site to site vpn setup, in latter case, you can try having two "set peer " statements under one crypto map sequence, for fallback to happen.

the PIXES are site to site VPN and the 2 set peer statements are under one crypto map.
