Hello,
I cannot successfully uninstall VPN Client 4.0.3 on my PC running XP SP2, using either the Uninstall or Add/Remove. It successfully completes but nothing is removed. Are there procedures to manually uninstall on XP? I only saw Win2000 uninstall instructions on this site.
Thanks, Dave

How did you install the client? Using MSI or InstallShield? Do you have this option:
Start > Programs > Cisco Systems VPN Client > Uninstall VPN Client.
If so, try using the uninstall via the program group.

Hello,
Thanks for your reply. I installed via InstallShield. I have tried Start > Programs > Cisco Systems VPN Client > Uninstall VPN Client many times without success. Also Add/Remove programs. I work for Raytheon and the instructions from their Help Desk after describing the problem was for me to manually uninstall (helpful, huh?). So I'm looking for any guidance here. I know I have to remove some items in the registry but I'm trying to pin down exactly what it is I have to remove.
Thanks, Dave

I have not found any xp specific instructions, but I would use the win 2000 instructions as a starting point.
I would also examien the registry for these keywords after you've done some of the manual changes as described in the win2000 document:
Cisco
Determinisitic Network
vpn client
I would not expect there to be much matching, but I have not yet installed the product on XP.
Let me know how it proceeds.
One other item that may be of interest if you receive a vsinit.dll validation error on win xp
Here is some info I found from this URL:

Even though you may not use the Zone Alarm product I think you may need to follow these steps anyway if you get the validation error message.
