secure link?

PIX 501-C1841-Internet cloud-C1841-PIX501

If GRE is configured on both cisco 1841 but not on PIX 501, will the link be secured?

Encapsulation is a poor form of security as there is no encryption. The ideal thing would be to form an IPSec btn 2 1841s(they are desgined for those) and route your LANs to the PIX . This is secure. Else you can do PIX-to-PIX IPSec. AFAIK PIX doesntsupport GRE only allows GRE packets through it
