Hi,

I have an SQL server in the central site behind a VPN 3000 Concentrator and Cisco 837 on the remote site. There are database replication through the VPN but it doesn't work.

The VPN is in EasyVPN mode.

Thanks in advance.

I am not a SQL guy, be it MS, Oracle or whathave you, but there is nothing special about sql traffic. Everything should go through the tunnel. I would read up on the requirements for replication, and make sure it doesn't do anything too exotic - multicast, etc. I would tend to bet that there is a DNS issue, or somesuch. From server1, can you ping server2 by hostname?

I have a site to site currently that is replicating Databases just fine. Make sure that all IP traffic is functioning. Look at the replication configuration and see how you are trying to access the servers from each other.
