I have tried to install the Cisco VPN client version 5.0.02.0090 and every time I try to install it on my desktop (Windows XP SP2) I get the error InstallDNE any help in resolving this error would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the information but even after cleaning everything out and trying to install the DNE upgrade I get the error "Unable to manage Deterministic Network Enhancer" So im still stuck

Did you completely uninstall any other VPN client that may have been there before?

Thank you, Morton. Your response was very helpful. I was having a similar issue with a Windows XP machine. The DNE update did the trick.

Hi Adam
Try uninstalling any previous VPN client software via following tool
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Secure-cleaning/Windows-Installer-CleanUp-Utility.shtml
Then run following tool and restart your PC.
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/winsockxpfix.html
Now try installing again.
