authentication messages

We run internal authentication for all user to access the internet. The web browser uses a pop-up to have the user authenticate and it explains that you are attempting to access the internet using xyzproxy.mycopany.com please provide a user id and password. Where is this message configured, I cannot find any configuration for this message?

Thanks

Hi,

To get information about the End-user Notifications on WSA, you can go to

Notifying End Users section in the WSA User guide at

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/wsa/wsa7.5/user_guide/WSA_7.5.7_FCS_UserGuide.pdf

For further assistance on pre-production issues, you can open a case at http://www.cisco.com/web/partners/tools/pdihd.html

The end-user notification page does not show anything configured. When a user attemps to acces the interenet the web brwser pop's up an authentication challenge requesting a user id/password to access the internet. I need to find the source of the message in that pop-up.

Hi,

I believe you are talking about the auth proxy prompt which the user is getting because of the active authentication.

Could you please provide the "sh run" so that I can provide you the information.

We do run authentication internally to access the internet, what I need to do is customize the message that is presented to the users in the popup and I cannot find a way to do it. I have a snapshot of the current message from a popup as an example but it is 3MB and I am unable to upload it. Is there a way for me to send it directly to you?

Hi,

If you are using Auth-proxy on the IOS devices, you can check

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios-xml/ios/sec_usr_auth/configuration/15-mt/sec-web-auth-proxy.html for information about customizing prompt for Authentication Proxy.
