Hi,

I think the site that you are referring is https://login.yahoo.com instead of www.login.yahoo.com(this is non-existence).

Can you share the accesslogs from WSA when trying to access that site and also what error message that you received from the browser.

From the accesslogs you should see what action that you set, whether hitting the correct identity and policy and also what HTTP tag that you are getting when accessing the site.

i receive this error message from the browser :

category : search engines and portals

pattern : unknown

notification : gateway_timeout

on access logs i see just allow for https://login.yahoo.com , why yahoo is on category search engines and portals ?  i allow them on category web based mail ..

From your error message, it is indicating "gateway timeout".

That error normally means a network issues, where WSA is not getting response for that request from the next hop or from server side connections (could be your border firewall or website itself, etc).

Would recommend to take parallel packet capture from your client machine (using wireshark) and at the same time from WSA (capturing client and server side connections) to find out where the packet loss or no response coming from.

If you need help in doing that, please open a TAC ticket for the engineer to assist you deeper.

usually when i see gateway time out i think it's due to a problem off wsa, but this time i try to put https://login.yahoo.com in the proxy setting bypass option and the site started to work, so I realized that the problem comes from wsa. I also try to make search engine pass throuth and the site worked well, but my problem is not solved because I want to allow yahoo just for a group policy I did it before just activating web based mail, but it does not work need to allow yahoo for everyone .

Would recommend to take packet captures as advised before and also recommend to open a case to TAC to get it review in depth
