Log File Subscriptions

Does anyone have any experiences to share regarding the duplication (or more accurately… the over duplication) of log subscriptions?  I currently have in place two Access Log subscriptions headed to two different log servers but would like to create third Access Log subscription in order to allow me to utilize the on-box grep option for live support.  Anyone have any pros/cons to share?

Per documentation

"More detailed settings create larger log files and have a  greater impact on system performance. More detailed settings include all the  messages contained in less detailed settings, plus additional messages. As the  level of detail increases, system performance decreases."

This will be the same for multiple log files, the more there is, the more effect it has on system performance.
