Hi all,

I have received our WSA S380 alert email

The Warning message is:

A RAID-event has occurred:
(0x0001/WARN) - Consistency Check started on an inconsistent VD 00/0
Product: Cisco S380 Web Security Appliance
Model: S380
Version: 8.5.2-027
Serial Number: 00FEC8531844-FCH1949V518
Timestamp: 18 Feb 2017 11:00:30 +0800
What's meaning of it? Is it important for WSA? Or does it mean something is wrong?
BR.

Hi,

The warning message indicating that there are some inconsistency in the RAID and the appliance is performing health checks on it to resolve it automatically. This event is part of the regular health check activities in the RAID and should not be too worry about it and not necessarily indicating that is something wrong.

Would suggest to keep monitor it and if you received other RAID event that advising the RAID degraded, would recommend to open TAC case for it to investigate further from the back end of the appliance.

Regards

Handy
