Hi all,
in a network with 800 users, we would like to deploy two (2) Cisco WSA S170 with Web Premium SW Bundle licenses.
Considering that in case of fault of one WSA we would like to guarantee that the other WSA is able to manage all users, how many licenses should we purchase?
A. 800 licenses in total to be applied to both WSA A and WSA B
B. 1600 licenses, 800 to be applied to WSA A and 800 to be applied to WSA B
Here attached a simplified network architecture.
Thanks

Only buy 800 users.

Ken thank you for your reply.
Generally speaking, if we have a network with X users and we would like to provide N WSA ( please note not VWSA), we have to purchase only X licenses.
Is the above correct?
Moreover is there a process to associate the licences to the N WSA?
Thanks

No. They price it per user but the feature keys don't have any user count tied to them. The user count pricing and usage is on your honor...

Typically your reseller will email you keys that you enter into System Administration/Feature Keys in the gui.
You can also tell it to download the keys from that page, assuming that the order processing is complete.

Ken,
if we have two WSA, the features keys are different for each WSA or we have the same key to be used in both WSAs?
