Disabling the enter key / send mode in Messaging

This question is about the windows version.  Is there a way to disable the enter key when in messaging to make the only way to send the message the clicking of the send icon.  I am a horrible typist and I keep accidentally hitting enter in the middle of my message and it sends it.  In the iPad app, enter causes a line break.  I would love to be able to configure the Window version to work this same way.

Same here.
Perhaps there was an option in an earlier version, perhaps it has been removed.
Chat GPT writes:

Open Webex Settings

  • On Windows: Click your profile picture or initials in the top left > Settings

  • On Mac: Webex menu > Preferences

2. Go to the "Messaging" tab

3. Look for the "Press Enter to send messages" option

  • Uncheck it if you want Enter to insert a new line and Ctrl+Enter (or Cmd+Enter on Mac) to send instead

  • Leave it checked if you want Enter to send and Shift+Enter to insert a new line (this is what you want)

It would be a solution to reintroduse this above option or simply to add "Send" ENTER and "New line" SHIFT-ENTER in the keyboard shortcut list for everyone to change, if they want to.

same here - in almost every other messaging app. It's possible to setup an default mode for line break / send message.
