Unable to open WebEx desktop app

Hi,

I am unable to open WebEx desktop app. Below is the error I get. I have re-installed WebEx desktop app numerous times. But continue to get the below error.

 

The most troublesome part of this error is that it cannot be closed without using Task manager.

@vshah , are you using the Webex Desktop app in a VDI environment?
Did you check the following article to verify if you installed the correct software? https://help.webex.com/en-us/nfjsqzbb/Cisco-Webex-Meetings-Virtual-Desktop-Software

I have seen other clients with the same problem and they were able to "solve" it by renaming the "avcodec-57.dll" to "avcodec-57.old". More a workaround than a solution, but maybe you could try it on one of your machines?
