Resolution
The problem may be with the Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) encryption. To address this issue, disable and reconfigure WEP. As an alternative, you may upgrade the firmware.
When a repeater Access Point cannot communitcate to a root AP, it pays to troubleshoot the problem as you would most other client-to-AP connectivity problems.
- Ensure the devices are within radio range of each other, taking into account possible sources of interference or blockage.
- Verify that the devices' SSIDs are properly configured - that they match.
- Check the authentication configuration.
