Resolution

To install the IP Setup Utility (IPSU), put the Cisco Aironet Access Point CD in the CD-ROM drive of the computer you are using to configure the access point. Use Windows Explorer to view the contents of the CD. Double-click on the IPSU folder; double-click the setup.exe file. Follow the steps provided by the installation wizard.

If you get a message that the device does not answer for set IP, please make sure that the PC running IPSU is on the same subnet as the wireless device. For more information, refer to Installing IPSU in Basic Configuration.

From a computer on the same subnet as the access point, you can use the IPSU to find the DHCP-assigned address or to assign an IP address manually. For more information, refer to sections on "Finding the Access Point's IP Address" and "Setting the Access Point's IP Address and SSID in Basic Configuration.
