Installation

  • Installation fails with error, what is happening?

The installer software needs to have Internet Explorer as default browser to properly check the needed dependencies, and download all components. If you are using another browser, set temporarily to IE, to complete the installation. After it is done, you can move back the default browser to the previous setting

For errors containing "Store metadata "AppType" is not valid." in the log details, try this:

In control panel --> Regional and language settings --> Regional Options tab, change the language to english(australia) and apply the change, then change it back to English(United States) and apply. 
Reboot PC, and try again.

(this is for a wrong registry entry, fixed with the above procedure)

  • The installer is trying to download components, why?

The application neeeds .Net 3.5, and it will try to download it if needed
