Subject: Issue Observed for Service Provider's Customer
Hello Experts,
We need to understand why the SF card is being disturbed in the StarOS application when there are correctable ECC errors (soft errors), which can be ignored according to the UCS documentation. The UCS document also mentions that while regular ECC errors can degrade application performance, this is not happening on the UCS platform, which has the ADDDC Sparing option. Despite this, the application is still being impacted. Could you please advise on a permanent solution or how to avoid this at the application (StarOS) end? Additionally, would it be advisable to replace the memory module for such critical applications running in production?
FYI:
- M4/M5 Server
- Cloud Platform: NFVI / CVIM (OpenStack)
Regards,
Saikiran Gundeti
