APIC on C220 M3

Hi guys,

I hope I can get help here.

To expand my knowledge in ACI I wanted to install an APIC on a c220 m3. The PID is the normal Cisco UCS c220 m3 PID and no APIC-Server-Mx.

The Server includes an TPM but the installation didn‘t work.

As far as I understand, the TPM in the APIC model has special certificates. These aren‘t available on my server and the partitions can‘t be decrypted.

The Cisco bug CSCvn81863 describes that an installation without a TPM is possible.

has anyone tried this with a C220?

I would like to test ACI in a small lab, only a functional APIC is missing.

dCloud and Simulator are not suitable. EPG, tenants can be configured, but endpoint-to-endpoint communication doesn‘t work. For this reason a validation of the configuration isn‘t possible.

If this is not possible, maybe someone has a working APIC M1/L1 for sale.

Thank you

Kind regards

Not that i know it works, they build appliance - or VM installation only.

if that is the case everyone buys a C220 server and installs APIC right,to save lot of costs.

Cisco build this appliance with some detection (not sure what it is- never put that time to investigate).

This will not work as the APIC OS installer validates the PID of the server prior to install.
