Cisco ACI 4.2 VM networks not showing

Good afternoon.

We have recently implemented Cisco ACI 4.2 within our Data Centres (Multipod).

When testing an ESXi host, with two test VMs, connected to one of the Leaf switches, on the host 'no networks' display on the NICs, despite everything working correctly.

The host uses VDS and we have made sure that CDP is enabled on the APIC policy. Although the host recognises CDP is enabled, still no networks displayed.

Can anyone suggest the problem here? IT our NX-OS infrastructure, the network display on the NICs fine.

Hi,

Do you see any changes while using LLDP?

Do you have any switch between Leaf and ESXi? If yes, make sure you enable CDP/LLDP on it. On what type of server is your ESXi running on?
