Cisco ACI Spines models compatibilty

Are two different models of Spines are compatible with each other in ACI fabric?

i.e. N9K-C9364C and Nexus 9396?

There are some feature limitations with first generation (9396) spines in terms of remote leaf, multisite, etc, however you can use different generation spines in a single pod without a problem.
