ACI Fabric is a highly scalable, multipath, high-performance leaf-and-spine architecture. So the combination of the N9k Spine and Leaf nodes makes it a ACI fabric.

Hope that clarifies.

Yes, because you can program the fabric using the APIC controller.

Cisco ACI is a Cisco's solution to Software Defined Networking that allows you to create policies on the controller that are then pushed into the fabric (Hardware) based on which all the forwarding decisions are made. The benefit of Cisco ACI is, even if your controller goes down, the fabric will still funtion and not impact traffic forwarding. The Controller (APIC Controller) is used to push the policies in the ACI fabric.
Hope this answers your question.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Thankyou. when you said "pushed into the fabric (Hardware)" - is it Nexus9K fabric (built-in N9K chassis ) ?

Thanks A lot. And same ACI fabric is also called as "Programmable fabric" ?

Yes, ACI fabric is built using Nexus 9k switches as spine and leaf design. This nexus switches 9K comes in two modes.
1. NX-OS (Which is normal NX-OS switching)
2. ACI mode( there is another sperate code for ACI that you have to load and convert the N9k from NX-OS mode to ACI)
ACI OS is an object oriented code. You can progarm the objects separately.
Hope this is informational for you.

I check how multisite works
