Field description inherit from PC interfaces

Does anyone know why the description of physical interfaces is inherited from the description of the port channel?

 Theorically, all the configuration , and not only description, applied to a port-channel should be inherited by the interface added to the port-channel

Hm if we want to describe port on the leaf we can't do it something like this

leaf201
int eth1/1
### backup-01 port 1

leaf202
int eth1/1
### backup-01 port 2

but! for some interfaces which were added to port-channel I can put my description. I don't know why, strange... maybe there is specific feature for it
