How to download the inventory of leaf and spine devices in Cisco APIC?

I would like to know the process to download or export the Cisco APIC leaf and spine device inventory.

According to information from Cisco APIC Troubleshooting Guide, Release 3.x and Earlier

You can use cli:

• fabric xxx show hardware

Information about fiber optic inserts can be obtained e.g. like this:

• fabric xxx show interface transceiver

or

• moquery -c ethpmFcot -f 'ethpm.Fcot.guiCiscoPID!=""' | egrep "#|dn|guiCiscoPID|guiSN"

I suppose there are a few other ways using the API.
