Hello, I have a question regarding Cisco ACI.
A customer asked why a duplicate IP fault is appropriate when two different MAC addresses are registered as endpoints in the same EPG for the identical IP address.
Based on the ACI fault search tool, I found a similar fault, F3083, and informed the customer that it is correct for a duplicate IP-related log to be generated.
The customer then requested to know how the logs are actually displayed within ACI when a real duplicate IP situation occurs.
I have attempted various tests in our lab environment. However, I only observe either an "EP freeze" from COOP (Council of Oracle Protocol) or logs related to "endpoint moves" when the Rogue EP Control option is enabled in system settings. I have not been able to trigger the specific "IP duplicate" fault.
After researching this, I couldn't find information on how the fault actually appears in a real ACI environment or the specific format of the logs.
My question is: Does the ACI environment not actually recognize a duplicate IP state as a fault? Our APIC version is 5.3.
