Learning Routes from External Router into ACI

Hello - Do we have to enable "Import Route Control Subnet" checkbox in ACI, if the Routes has to be learned from External Router into ACI?

In my case, VRF is in "Policy Enforcement" enabled, "Import Route Control Subnet" is greyed out, Contract is configured in "Network" to allow Any and Subnet is 0.0.0.0/0.  I could see the Routes are learned from External Router into ACI Fabric.

How this happens when "Import Route Control subnet" is disabled?

regards,Kumar

Hello Kumar,

The greyed unchecked status means the Border Leaves will learn the routes sent from the External routers without restriction (without route-map filtering). Therefor the observation you do is the expected behavior.

Allowing import route filtering would need you to check the Import checkbox at the L3Out object level, then define an import policy.
