Hello -
Need to connect my fabric as an OSPF NSSA area to an external Cisco 7k. Can I connect as a VPC from a BDR Leaf with an SVI (FHRP enabled) interface over that VPC to my 7k? My 7k is not running in a VPC with another switch. Can i break the traditional rule of NO route peering over VPC with ACI? Is there somewhere where this is documented? L3out documentation doesn't seem to indicate one or the other.
thank you

when I say FHRP enabled, i mean that I would like to use the shared secondary IP address feature in my L3out.

Hi Cowser,
Yes, you can do route peering over vPC. and you have an option of using the secondary addresses.
the limitation of route peering over vPC particularly when Peer gateway is configured is not there in ACI.
I am not very sure, if i answered your question or not.

Thanks Ramu!
so the ACI fabric will source the OSPF MC msgs from the FHRP addr, and not the individual node addresses? is there a Cisco Doc that you can point me to on this?
thank you
