Hi all,
I was curious if anyone has any good uses of Policy Override they may be able to share. This may go against the plug and play functionality of ACI but I was thinking of the following:
Create a single leaf profile with a single interface that affects all ports on a device. This the same as int range 1/1-48. And then, as needed, going back and adjusting the oddball ports. We could have a company default profile for all ports, have fewer configuration items and only when exceptions are logged do we create additional configuration items.
As I understand it now, if I have port 1-48 configured and needed to configure port 2 differently I would have to break the 1-48 and create interface policies for port 1, port 2, and ports 3-48. This, of course, would be impactful as we delete the 1-48 port interface profile.
Pardon any ACI term mix-ups, I am still in my infancy of learning it. TIA!
