Update AVS to AVE in Vcenter 6 to 6.5 Update2

Hi Gentleman ,

If we upgrade to Vsphere 6.5 update 1 or later , as I know the third party switch API not be compatible again so the AVS will not be running is it correct?
https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2149722?docTypeID=DT_KB_1_1&sliceId=1

so the only way to upgrade will be :

1st method
- Migrate AVS to DVS
- Upgrade vcenter server 6.5 update 2
- Upgrade Esxi 6.5 Update 2
- Migrate DVS to AVE

Or

2nd method:
- Migrate AVS to AVE
- Than upgrade to Vcenter 6.5 update 2

In this update procedure AVS to AVE second method , vcenter 6 to 6.5 will be replaced no being upgrading (transfer the data set to the new appliance) so we think it's need to redeploy VMM again as vcenter instance changed ?? Correct Me if Im wrong.  https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/6.7/com.vmware.vcenter.upgrade.doc/GUID-6A5C596D-103E-4024-9353-5569263EB427.html

I read some documentation and some released notes from cisco didn’t mention about migrating progress AVS to AVE with vsphere 6.5 update 1 or later scenario. If you have any experiment or expertise please be shared.

 Thank You
