Hi,
We're about to configure a L3out gateway in our multi-pod ACI fabric.
The question is, whether a single L3out should be deplyed in EACH pod ?
or
Can we create 1x L3out instance for BOTH pods, yet using multiple paths on a leaf in each POD ?
Thx,
Kg.,
Wim

Hi Wim
Both options will work.

Hi Marcel,
Thanks for your feedback.
I suppose that having a single L3out in EACH pod will allow you to be more granular in one way.

That's correct - for example if you apply route-maps (to influence routing-decisions) you can do this only on a per L3Out-basis and not on a per interface basis within a L3out.
So if there is a upstream router in each pod and you want to do the "traffic engineering" go with a L3out per pod, if you don't need such tuning go with a single L3out stretched over both pods.
