"show run" in CLI vs backup in GUI

Is it true that output of "show run" that is executed on APIC will not contain all the details as when config is captured using backup function in APIC GUI? Is there any document that supports the right answer.

Correct.

The "show running-configuration" on the APIC only shows a portion of the configuration.  In order to save a complete configuration for backup purposes, you must use a "Export Configuration Policy".

Thanks Tomas!

Is there any document that explains this in more details?

Tenaro,

I am sorry, there is no document.  There are guides and cheatsheets about the CLI in ACI but none defining what you asked.  The CLI in most part addresses "default" policies that are defined.  Similar to the Basic GUI mode.  So if you create "Custom" policies, they will not be displayed.
