ACE 4700 failover

I have two ACE 4700 connected to two pix firewall

active ACE connected to active PIX

standby ACE connected to standby PIX

i have problem that when the pix fail and the second pix changed to active the ACE doesn't change to active

i configured track ip , but it seems it doesn't work

any suggestions

I guess the pix still respond to ping sent to its interface.

Could you track a device behind the pix ? A gateway.

actually , the ACE decrease its priority from 120 to 70 because he couldn't ping the pix interface

but when the ping is return back he didn't increase the priority from 70 to 120 again

and he didn't take over again

how is track host or gateway work ?
