Hi,
We are being asked to create HTTPS probes but as expected we will get a HTTP 403 forbidden error as we are not passing the expected certificate for authentication between the server and the ACE. The premise being that the ACE passes throug SSL between external clients to the server.
The requirement is to have the probes monitor the web service and the request-method header is set etc in the https probe.
Can an ACE https probe be configured to use an SSL certificate and if so can anyone advise configuration parameters? Or is an SSL parameter only bound to a L4 policy and probes cannot use SSL certs?
Many thanks
Grant

Hi Grant,
I had exactly the same question. It turns out that SSL probes cannot use certificates ! What I did is a HTTP probe instead. In my case, the web server is aslo able to respond for unencrypted request, in HTTP.
Hope this helps
