ACE 4710 Reverse Proxy ?

We currently use a CSS11503 for all inbound ssl web connections into our DMZ. The backend connection to the web servers are http only.

I know the CSS's are getting close to EOL. Will the ACE4710 provide me the same functionality ?

Do I have to buy a seperate SSL module for it or is SSL acceleration built in ?

Would I be able to use the 4710 as a reverse proxy and a load balance for other server apps as well ?

Any help would be appreciated ?

Hi Dave,

As far as SSL-offload and server loadbalancing goes, the 4710 will provide you with the same, and more, functionality as the CSS.

The 4710 ships with integrated ssl-acceleration, so there's no need for additional hardware modules. Depending on your requirements, you might need to upgrade the license to support additional ssl/tps. Have a look at the link below, should give you some basic insight into the 4710 appliance:
