Hi ,
I am using ACE appliance for Server Load balancing. Trying to Load balance Exchange Hub and Transport roles.
Here ACE is connected to Cat6k.
I have client vlan configured with Vlan 30. and VIP address is 172.16.30.5
I have server vlan at vlan 100 .
When i see the sh arp cmd, i could see VSERVER is up
When i try to ping VIP address from CAT6k it is working fine.
when i ping VIP from ACE itself, it ping failes.
When i try to telnet to VIP,, it says ' connection is refused'
Please let me know why i couldnt ping ACE VIP from ACE.

As far as I know it's normal and it works like that by design.

is telnet allowed in the managaement service policy bound to the vlan interface ?

2 service policy has been bound to the interface
one is remote_mgmt_allow_policy which allow telnet and other connections.
other policy is to map the vip of serverfarm.
Cat6k is able to ping VIP but telnet says ' connection refused by remote host'
